When Ashli Campbell took over what was then Gathering Grounds Coffeehouse in March of 2020, the coronavirus was just hitting the US. Social distancing protocols were put in place by Chaffee County Public Health, and in-store cafe business was dropping, so Ashli decided to set up an online-based grocery store for the Salida and Chaffee County community. It allowed people to order staples and necessities from the comfort of their home. We set up a website that allowed residents to order boxes of food, varying from fresh produce, to local coffee and even yeast and Nori wraps.
As businesses and restaurants reopened throughout the summer of 2020, there was less of a demand for the curbside pickup, so we closed the online store and concentrated on providing healthy food and coffee to-go. Now, with COVID-19 cases on the rise again in Chaffee County, many our customers have asked for us to restart the grocery store. So here we are! This time around, we are thrilled to not only offer groceries and pantry staples, but we have a great selection of house-made soups, salads, Indian curries, baked goods and burritos!
All orders placed BEFORE Saturday at 4pm will be available for pickup on Tuesday afternoon. YOU WILL RECEIVE A CALL WHEN YOUR ORDER IS READY!
